Warning: extensive phishing around Outlook/Exchange and various banks Please be particularly careful with mails that ask you to enter user data!

For a few days now, we have been observing a large number of phishing e-mails that call on people to call up fake websites and enter their own access data (so-called “credential harvesting”).

The senders and target addresses are varied, and new variants are constantly appearing.

These revolve around two topics

  1. alleged expiry of access to Exchange or Webmail
  2. Alleged erroneous bank transfers at various, diverse banks.

Please do not call up the target pages and do not enter your access data under any circumstances. This mail does not come from the TU Braunschweig. This is also relatively obvious.

If you have accessed the pages, please run a complete virus scan of your computer.

If you have entered access data, please change your password for all accounts where you use the corresponding password!

Please report these mails to gitz-it-sicherheit@tu-braunschweig.de and forward them as attachments.
